A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you’ve got a Linux shared package with us. You can activate the feature through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your hosting account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you’ve set up enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately notify you if a certain mailbox gets all the messages pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you like. In case there’s activated email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll get a warning text message from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you have a semi-dedicated hosting with us and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain hosted in the account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the exact same manner you’ll be able to remove the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will notify you if you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a certain domain name or in case there’s active email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or alter anything automatically and without your consent.
