Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our firm, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no particular rules on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
